Options Builder · Included with Pro

Options builder: see the payoff before the trade.

Build a multi-leg position on a live chain, drag any strike, and watch P&L at expiry, breakevens, and max risk redraw.

The TickSurfers options builder turns a live options chain into calls, puts, verticals, condors, butterflies, calendars, or an arbitrary custom ladder. Move a leg and the curve, breakevens, max profit, and max loss move with it — then the same levels land on your price chart.

Iron condor · 30 days to expiry

Underlying $100.00 · one contract per leg · drag any strike handle to take over.

0d is expiration, 30d is today. The dashed curve reprices the same legs at that date — green in profit, orange near breakeven, red in loss.

Illustrative only. Premiums are modeled with Black–Scholes at 22% implied volatility and 30 days to expiry; the dashed curve reprices the same legs at the T− days you select. No fees or slippage. Not a quote or a recommendation.

Move the short 103 call up and the credit shrinks while the call wing narrows. Move it down and the credit grows, but so does the loss you carry through the wide side. The curve is the trade-off.

From an idea to a priced spread in four steps

The builder sits on the same chain you already read, so there is no second spreadsheet and no re-keying strikes.

1

Pick the expiration

Open the chain for any expiry and read calls, strikes, puts, Greeks, implied volatility, last, and volume in one grid.

2

Add the legs

Start from a template, or add any combination of calls, puts, quantities, and expirations in the custom builder.

3

Move the strikes

Strikes step through the live chain. Drag a leg and the net debit or credit reprices as you go — or lock it while you edit.

4

Read the risk

P/L at expiration, breakevens, max profit, and max loss redraw instantly. Switch to mark-to-model to see the position before expiry.

Templates for the plays you actually run

Each template drops onto the chain with sensible strikes and quantities, then stays fully editable. Nothing is locked to the preset.

Long call or put

The one-leg baseline: defined premium, directional exposure, and a payoff you can read at a glance.

Vertical spreads

Bull call, bear call, bull put, and bear put. Cap both the risk and the reward with two strikes in one expiry.

Iron condor

Two credit spreads around the market. Four legs, a range view, and risk defined by the wings.

Iron butterfly

A tighter condor centred on one strike, for a stronger view and a narrower profit zone.

Butterfly

Three strikes, one peak. A low-cost structure when you expect the underlying to settle near a level.

Calendar & custom

Mix expirations for a calendar, or build an arbitrary multi-leg ladder when no template fits.

The payoff chart is only the first answer

A position does not exist in isolation. The builder is wired into the chart, the research tools, and the rest of your workspace.

Breakevens on your chart

Project breakevens, leg strikes, and call/put markers onto the price chart. The Y-axis extends automatically so nothing falls off the pane.

Mark-to-model, not just expiry

Switch the P/L curve to an earlier date to see how time and price change the position — without remounting the builder or losing the legs.

Test the structure

Multi-leg options entries and exits run through the same backtest, optimization, and walk-forward engine as every other TickSurfers strategy.

Put a real chain behind it

Build the position on live strikes, project the payoff onto your chart, and test the rules behind it. Pro is $30/month or $300/year — you save $60 on the annual plan.
